billing reset at league activation

This year I cleared out balances before activitating my league, to hopefully prevent issues I've encountered in previous years with the previous years payment carrying forward to the next year.

1. I use the comment field to keep track of when / where payments are made, this field does not get cleared out when payments are cleared out, it would be nice to have an option to do this.

2. When players are activating this year their balance is getting inialized to negative dues so their outstanding balance is 2*dues.  I think their payment should initlaize to zero when activating for the new year.   I have been going in and manually setting payments from negative values to zero for each player.

Hi Chris, welcome back! I'll look to add an option to clear out the comment fields.

Unless I'm misunderstanding the issue, I'm not a fan of your 2nd suggestion. It shows that the books weren't reconciled from last year, and may indicate if someone still owes from the prior year. I run several prize leagues with many of the same players in all the leagues and they will sometimes use prizes won from one league to cover the cost of the other. Or sometimes there is a small amount they owe and I let it carry forward to the next year. To me it would be too drastic to set the Fees Paid column to 0 on activation. There is a button on the player accounts page to do that though.

so you're saying that all I need to do is to re-activate the league and last year's balances will be carried forward?  I'm OK with that if it works.

Yes, exactly. I've been relying on that working for a couple years now for my leagues.
