 Fred,

Subject game was won by Giants by 1 point - the spread was 1 - everyone in my pool should get 1/2 a point as the teams are tied. Please adjust accordingly or let me know hoiw I can do so.

John, the line changed from -1 to 1. The site updates the line on any movement greater than 1.5. No change needed!

Edit: So just to be clear, when you make your pick you get the line at the time of your pick.  You'll need to explain this to your league. There shouldn't be any adjustments. I checked the logs and here is the line history:

9/6/2016 4:00:04 AM: Cowboys line:-1.0 to 1 o/u:46.0 to 46
9/10/2016 4:00:03 AM: Line set for Cowboys line:1.0 to -1 o/u:46.0 to 46
9/11/2016 4:00:04 AM: Line set for Cowboys line:-1.0 to 1 o/u:46.0 to 46

Fred,

I had this happening in my league as well, so i need to understand this properly. If i am correct, you are saying that if odds change during the week (and change is less than 1.5 - which was the case in DAL-NYG), each platyers gets the spread at the time of its picks. If change  was, let's say, 2 then we would all have them adjusted according to the latest spread?

If the abopve is correct, what happens if i change my pcik before deadline. Say i select NYG at +2 (random spread, for example purposes)... Does that mean then when i go ahead and change my pick day later (before the leage deadline and after adjsutmend form +2 to +1), i will select DAL at (now updated) -1 ?  And if i change my mind once more and go back to NYG, my spread will be +1?

thank you

Here are the basic rules:

1) The change in odds has to be 2 or greater for the site to update the odds on the pick sheet.

2) The line on the pick sheet is the line you get when you submit your picks.

3) Editing picks later: Only when a player changes a specific pick to the opposite team, will they get the current odds for that pick on the pick sheet. If they do not change a pick, they retain the odds when they originally made that pick.

Now #3 is important to understand why we have to do it this way. Say Dallas was favored by 3 (Dal -3), and Romo gets hurt mid-week. Suddenly NYG is favored by 3. If you originally picked NYG, you're not going to want your odds to change on this game when you go in and change a pick on some other game. So we leave it alone UNLESS you change the team. Now the alert player who picked Dallas will want to switch from Dallas to NYG, and if he does so he gets the new line.

Thanks Fred,

but i do have one more question

Doesn't movement form -1 to 1 total to 2 point difference?

Not trying to be smart ass, just want to understand completely.

Yes, a movement of -1 to 1 is a 2 point difference. Hence, the site updated the line since 2 is greater than 1.5. :) What was confusing was my comment "no change needed". Bad wording on my part... what I meant by this is that the site is behaving correctly, that neither I or John needed to do anything to the picks in his league.
