Hi Fred, what if the season were cut short or suspended indefinitely? Would the system automatically apply the end of season tabulation? Is there a way for the league manager to "call the season" and apply the end of season tabulation?
also Fred, if there is a make-up week at the end of the season with only some teams playing, will that be included as a week for the Survivor game, or excluded?
Hi Chris, sorry for the late reply, I missed the email notification for the forum post.
The league manager currently already has a way to apply the end of season tabulation in their league settings, by changing the number of weeks in regular and post season accordingly. If the season was suspended, that's another story and we would have to decide how to handle it. My leaning would be to leave the standings as-is, as if frozen in time, and leave it up to the managers if they want to force season-end tabulation by changing their settings.
If an extra week is added at the end of the regular season, the one internal change we would need to make is set the number of weeks in the NFL season to 22. To make life easy on mangers we would proibably run a script that fixes everyone's settings so that there are 18 weeks in the regular season instead of 17.
If you have suggestions on any of this please let me know. Thanks!
Fred
