I've been trying to use the Image insert functionality on the Forum for the past couple of weeks but have managed only to drive myself batty.  I've created a bunch of graphics and graphs for our league and would like to have them appear in my posts.  Sounds simple... but no.

When I copy the link to my image (which I've attempted using two different host sites so far), all I get is a big red X which appears to be forumese for You Can't Do That.  I've been experimenting using links to publicly available images on the web, and the images are inserted exactly as one would expect.  My only hypothesis as to the reason for this phenomenon is the use of http versus https. Images that use the http URL work.  Images with https don't.  Or at least, that's what I think is going on.

Anybody know if my theory is correct?  And if so... what I can do about it?  I don't know of any hosting service (Flickr, 500px, Smugmug... you name it...) that doesn't use https.

thanks-

Dave

Hi Dave,

Did you try the image button in the editor, top row about 6 icons from the right?

Using this button I linked to your picture on the site:

You can also use that button to upload images.
