Posted Nov 17, 2013 at 6:22 PM Noticed the same...kind of strange that the incorrect game result (showing Ravens win +4) was posted while the game was still in progress?? Still awaiting the correct results of this game to be posted on the our league's site. |

Hey all, Just got back from the Broncos game and watched the worst 9-0 football team in the history of the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs, finally run out of luck as they, stop the presses, had to face a starting QB instead of a 2nd or third stringer. We scan a page from ESPN so this can happen if they mark a score as FINAL incorrectly (but I'm not complaining because they provide the page for free and its their first mistake in 2 years - not passing the buck, but that's just the fact of the matter). So, I have gone in and corrected it and the universe is back in order! Besides, as a Broncos fan, I would never willingly allow Baltimore to win a game they didn't deserve, already had to go through that last year. :) Fred

Posted Nov 19, 2013 at 8:20 AM If you are in a survivor league and picked the Bears (or the Ravens in a losers league), then I need to fix this if your league updated before the correction was made. I'll post a follow-up when all these cases are fixed. Fred

Posted Nov 19, 2013 at 9:41 AM OK, out of 1673 remaining survivors in various Survivor and Loser pools, only 3 picked the Bears-Ravens (1 picked the Bears in a regular surivor league, and 2 picked the Ravens in a loser's league): | League | Player | | 70Point3Bound | Emmie | | Loser Pool | Sean | | Brad's Survivor Pool '13 | Cody |
The three affected player's number of lives have been corrected so they should be able to make their picks. Sorry for the hassle everyone, though there isn't much I can think of to do about it, short of not allowing Surivor leagues to update until after the Monday night game when everything is verified, but I'd rather keep it as is since the ESPN feed is normally reliable. I suspect they had a timeout bug that caused the Bears-Ravens game to be marked as FINAL 6 hours after kickoff, not accounting for possible (and VERY rare) weather delays. Fred
