I've sent two invitation emails to former players and two invitation emails to new players - all are bouncing back into my spam folder. Emails are accurate. Tried on Friday, Monday and again this morning. All bounce back with different error messages. Any reason why?

Hi... I'm still investigating. Can you forward one of the bounced emails to [email protected]?  In the meantime, you could go to the Email League page within your Manager Control Panel, and select 'Show Me All Email Addresses' with the 'include inactive players' checked, then cut&paste this list into your own email program and send the emails that way. It looks like you use AOL. However you compose and send emails from there, you should be able to cut&paste the list of emails into the 'To' field.

If anyone else has this problem please let me know. I tested it using one of my sites and I didn't have this problem.

Thanks for forwarding me the email. As it turns out, this is an AOL setting that went into affect April 2014. Basically AOL will stop delivery of any email with aol.com in the from address that is sent from a server other than their own. There are two things you can do:

1) Change the email address you use here to something other than your aol.com email. You can change your email by clicking the 'My Profile' link above, then click the 'Edit Profile' button. If you don't have another email you can use, you can create a gmail at gmail.com, then forward it to your aol.com account if you don't want to have to go check the gmail account (FYI, gmail is far superior to AOL, but I know the pain behind switching email providers - just know you could keep you aol.com email and forward it to gmail).

2) Follow the steps I outlined in the post that proceeded this and send the emails using AOL.com.

Yahoo has also implemented the "DMARC request policy", so if you are a league manager with a yahoo.com address the Invite email won't work. I'm going to change the invite email to NOT use the manager's email in the from address (in fact its the only option to get past this new policy). This will be implemented later today.
