league activation, accidental automatic entries?

Age: 53 138 Posts	Posted Aug 25, 2016 at 10:15 AM It looks like when I activated my league for this year, 3 players were automatically activated, me the admin, who had a balance due, and the 2 winners who had payouts last year. Is this supposed to happen? Maybe the balances could be forced to zero before / during activation to avoid this issue?

Hey Chris, You are supposed to be automatically activated, but not the two winners. That's a bug that I just fixed. It's a new bug - long story, basically a fix applied to the InvitePastPlayers page to cover a corner case where some already active players were set to InvitePending was incorrectly included in the Activate Players page. When you activate your league, any unpaid balances from last year are carried forward. This is especially useful for leagues where players who won something want to keep a balance going into the following year to pay for it. I have players in my Play Money pool do this all the time, it makes life easier since there are fewer payout hassles at the end of the year (the pool has lots of various payouts). Almost without exception every player in my league also opts to have their winnings carry forward as it's also easier on them.
