Posted Nov 30, 2017 at 9:41 PM Hello, Mr. Commissioner: In the Bookie-challenge league, if I were wanting to wager on the Thursday night game, do I need to make all my wagers for the entire week prior to the Thursday game? It seems that's the way it works. As long as I am writing in, with respect to the Confidence-point league, I don't know about anyone else, but I wouild much prefer that the deadline for making a pick be, say, 5 minutes before the start of each game. We have to pick the Monday night game by Sunday morning. Why not allow us to decide that game just prior to the kickoff on Monday? (It would be significant for one's standing in the league, also. I don't have the situation in front of me right now, but I will include it in my next post. A week or two ago, it made total sense for me to switch my pick on Monday night, because I had nothing to lose with respect to my standing for the weekend, and everything to gain. Why should that calculation not be part of the year-long competition?) Thanks, The Crickers |

Sorry for the late reply. For the play money pool, you ar correct that you have to include all wagers if you also want to wager the Thursday night game. That being said, there is a new setting created for another league that I plan to use next year called stacked picking, that will allow you to continue to pick other games throughout the week using whatever balance you have accumulated. My son runs the public confidence league. I like your suggestion, and for next year I'll ask him to change the deadline to the Monday night game, which means each game itself becomes a deadline for that game (there is also a setting for 5 minutes before a game starts, but 0 minutes before game starts is OK too).
