Have the new player create an account then join your league. Since the season started they will be marked as 'Pending' regardless of the manager approval setting, so you'll then have to change their status to 'Active' in your control panel.  However... I did a quick test and this currently is being blocked... will have a fix this evening.

There are two ways to add players after the season has started:

1) From your control panel. You will need the player's Player ID, which is displayed beneath their name on their 'My Profile' page.

2) The player can directly join your league as before, but they will automatically be put in a 'Pending' state and will not be able to make picks until you approve them. You will have the ability to lock down your league if you do not want players to try to join this way.

Here are the starting positions for those who join, and you approve, after the season starts:

BookiePool leagues:  Start with $100 play money balance.

Pickem, Confidence, and Rankem leagues: Start with 0 points, and 0-0-0 for wins/losses/ties.

Survivor  leagues: One life less than the league's number of lives. If it's a one life only league, the player will get to start with 1 life (presumably the manager knows what he is doing by approving a player after the season starts).

Suggestions of course are welcome!
