There were Games with "OFF" lines pre-Game.. The Hou v. Tenn Game and the GB v. Minn Game.. Both are now showing spreads, after the Games started and/or finished.. I think everyone assumes when the spread says OFF - just treat it as "0"?

Anything we can do about this?

Thanks,

Holden

The line will be 0 if is OFF at game time. Leagues using a fixed line may have a line if it ever had an opening line that was not OFF.

Can you take a look at those two games for my league?
We use a fixed line. I think the Vikings/Packers should be a push.
Thanks Fred!

OK, I checked and here is the issue. First your standings are correct and need no change. The reason is because the line set 15 minutes before game time, it opened at +3 GB which is the line your players who picked that game get because that's the open. The reason it shows as OFF on the top part of their pick is because that's what the line was when they picked the game, but because you use a fixed line they have to take the opening line. One thing I can do to allievate confusion in the future is to not show the state of the line when the player made the pick on their pick sheet, but instead show what it is set to after it changes from OFF.

So if someone picked the games when the spread said OFF but hen the spread locked on after.. for example, what happened with GB and Minnesota. The person who locked in before the spread posted, has their pick stay the same on terms of team but then the spread moves on them? Isn’t the point of the fixed line to prevent that?
We want everyone to get the same lines when posted?
Sorry for confusion. Thanks!

Hi Holden,

Definitely a good question. With a fixed line every player will get the same line for the game. In the case of the GB/Min game, every player got GB +3. This line set about 15 minutes before game time.

The help [?] on your Manager -> League Standings page does try to clarify this. I also have a FAQ on this here. I'll Add a todo to also link to this FAQ from the picks page.

Still seems to be errors with the OFF lines.
This week - the Ravens/Bengals were marked as OFF and the ravens won..
On our standings page - lists Ravens as losing (-.5).
Also, I checked and Week 7 was OFF with Lions/Dolphins and that doesn’t seem to be correct in terms of tiebreaker points.
My guess is there are others too.
Thanks,
Holdeb

I know this is a little confusing, but the results are once again correct. :) Just like the prior instance in this thread, the line became available after the players made their picks. The picks sheet shows what the line was when they made the pick, which was OFF, then the line changed from OFF to Ravens -3.5.

What I can do is submit a ticket to change the pick sheet to display what the player ended up with for a spread, instead of what the spread was when they made the pick. Regardless of that change the results themselves are correct.

I checked at 11:59a (cst) and the spread was still listed as PFF
I’ve done this a few times and they never change.
I wonder if this is an issue because we have the “fixed lines” option selected.

After digging further I partially stand corrected. The results are still correct, but the line should have displayed on the picks page for that game and not listed as OFF. This works properly on leagues where the maanger hasn't set the schedule, I didn't realize you had done that (allowing a manager to choose games is a new feature this year). I uploaded a fix so that the line now shows correctly on the player picks tab under Standings.

Where did you see it listed as OFF? Was this on the actual pick sheet, or the Standings - Picks page?  The line was set to -3.5 about 10:45am MST according to the logs.

The actual picks page.
I went to go potentially switch the pick. Figured it was off initially because of the Baltimore QB situation.
But it stayed as OFF.
Thanks for all the time on this!

Ok, thanks for that info. The picks page has the same problem that the Standings-Picks page has - it doesn't show the line if the manager set the schedule and the line was OFF at the time the schedule was set. I'll have a fix for that before next weekend.

Hey - can we get a switch on the Baltimore W/L this week as a result?
Mine is showing Baltimore as an L.
Thanks!

I think its better if you work that out with your league, and if its decided that Bal gets the win, you can edit the standings. IMO you should leave as-is. Anyone who picks before a line is available, according to the rules gets whatever the line is if it sets before the game (otherwise they get 0 or pickem line). The line switched from OFF to -3.5 at 15 minutes before the game. Perhaps an argument for allowing someone to win with Baltimore is if they visited the pick sheet in the brief 15 minute window before the game, where it would have still showed OFF when it should have shown -3.5. FYI you have the ability to check your player logs to see if anyone was on the pick sheet in that brief 15 minute window.
