Church is in session, people.  Who remembers Matthew 20:16?  I certainly shouldn't and I know that Sach doesn't. Neither of us is what you might call "New Testament" types. As for the rest of you... for shame!  Say two Hail Marys and allow me to refresh your aging memories: "The last shall be first and the first shall be last."

This week the EFL Church of the Two-Point Conversion sayeth unto thee:  The First Shall Be Last, and the Seventh Shall Be First. As long as I'm preaching, allow me one additional relevant biblical reference - one that I can endorse as it comes from a somewhat older set of testaments: "Oh, how the Mighty Have Fallen" (Samuel 1:19, for the Torah-curious).

With that interminably tedious introduction finally behind us, I'll state what must be mind-numbingly obvious by now: our Week 9 winner, J. McA, experienced a terrible fall in Week 10, all the way to the bottom of the board - 11th place. That's gotta hurt!  Meanwhile, the ever-scrappy FavSon turned Week 9's lemons into Week 10's lemonade with his First Place finish.  Not to be outdone, GatorCats reversed his Week 9 fortune, turning an 8th place finish into this week's Number Two.  The hard-charging TurboD bettered his station by three positions from last week's sixth to this week's Number Three.  Well done, all!

Worth noting, the point spread was quite tight this week with just 19 points separating the 1st position from 10th.  Only J.McA broke the curve, and not in the way she would've preferred.  Net net, the Season-To-Date result is a near-tie for first place with BearBoy leading FavSon by just two measly points. GatorGeorge is hanging tough in 3rd, 24 points off the lead, but should be checking over his shoulder periodically as Boulder is close on his heels only 5 points behind.

Week 10 TieBreak was a rock-em-sock-em affair.  Did J.McA win the week by taking only ONE single point?  NO!  She was bested by our favorite pooch, Scooby, who made a perfect prediction:  ZERO points.  J.McA just couldn't catch a break in Week 10!  Notably, our third thru sixth place finishers formed what would've been a small straight had the game been poker, with finishes of five, six, seven, and eight points. Those players: TurboD, Gsquared, Major Winner, and BearBoy.

Unsurprisingly, our Season-To-Date TieBreak leader is Scooby with 101 points but only three points behind, BearBoy and TurboD are tied for second. And with only 26 points separating First thru Ninth place, TieBreak Land is no place for complacency!

So that's it for Week 10, people.  Oh... no, wait.  We need to talk about the statistic-which-must-not-be-named: Strength of Victory, a fictional invention of no practical value which nonetheless will reward the player who accumulates the largest number of strengths. Strengths of Victory, that is. GatorCats took the week, with FavSon only 2 points behind. TurboD finished third, 22 points off the lead, while Boulder and Scooby tied at fourth just 2 points behind Turbo.  For the Season, GeorgieCats is your leader, Scooby owns second place 60 points behind the Cat and Boulder trails the Dog by 56.  Does anyone feel better for knowing that?  I seriously doubt it.

Speaking of dogs, my fingers are dog-tired!  This was one long-ass wrap-up; next week I shall strive for brevity. Thanks to everyone who persevered all the way to the end of this harangue.

You da bomb. I Da Dad.

Geez! I feel so guilty. I should get back to church and pray for a Bear's win!
