Its the time of season where NFL junkies regularly peruse NFL Mock Draft sites. Is this the year Cleveland Browns fans finally get the quarterback they’ve been waiting for? It’s been quite a long haul for the desperate and extremely loyal Cleveland Browns fan base. Only time will tell if the 2017 NFL Draft is the one that finally puts to rest the 1st round QB ghosts of Tim Couch, Brady Quinn, Brandon Weeden, and Johnny Mandel.
NFL Draft Popularity
Based on website traffic, a huge number of NFL fans, not just Browns fans, have an keen interest in the NFL draft. It doesn’t seem that long ago that practically every April, I was slipping out of a wedding reception on Saturday to check on the NFL draft. Why people would plan their wedding on the day of the NFL draft was beyond me! Well, eventually the NFL wised up and moved their draft from Saturday to prime-time starting Thursday night. Round 1 is dished up on its own Thursday night, followed by rounds 2 and 3 Friday night. The closing rounds 4 through 7 are televised Saturday during the day. Both ESPN and the NFL Network offer virtually round-the-clock coverage of the NFL draft.
NFL Draft Back in Philly
After 55 years the NFL Draft returns to Philadelphia. The first round will be on Thursday night, April 27 at 8 pm EST. Rounds two and three will follow on Friday, April 28 beginning at 7 pm EST. The fourth through seventh rounds kick off Saturday, April 29 at noon.
So without further ado….
