Hybrid Bookie combines the strategy of our Bookie Pool with the flexibility of a mixed NFL + NCAA schedule. Each week the league manager chooses the pro and college football games that will be available, and players decide where to put their play money.

Players can wager against the spread and, when enabled, on the over/under. The optional +6 feature can also be used for leagues that want the additional higher-risk Bookie strategy.

The result is one combined standings table and one season-long bankroll rather than maintaining separate NFL and college pools.

How It Works

The manager sets the schedule for each Pool Week and can choose any desired mix of eligible NFL and NCAA games. Players then wager their available play money on those games.

Every wager is tied to its actual matchup, so NFL wagers are graded from NFL results and college wagers are graded from NCAA results even though they appear together on the same sheet.

Winning wagers add to the player's balance, losing wagers subtract from it, and the standings rank players by their accumulated play-money balance.

One Football Weekend

NFL and NCAA week numbers do not always line up. Hybrid Bookie avoids exposing that mismatch to players by using a single Pool Week.

The site maps the appropriate NFL and college games into that Pool Week, and the manager chooses which of those games belong on the league's weekly slate.

A Shares Pool Alternative

Former OfficeFootballPools Shares Pool managers can configure Bookie-style leagues around a season bankroll instead of a weekly refill. For example, everyone can begin with a larger fixed balance and compete all season from that bankroll.

Hybrid Bookie adds another option that the traditional NFL-only format does not provide: the manager can include both college and professional football games in the same season-long pool.
